How to use the Winnipeg gas price map
The map plots every active gas station in our Winnipeg-area database — pins from the downtown core (the thinnest part of the city for stations) out along Pembina Highway, McPhillips Street, Regent Avenue and Portage Avenue West, plus nearby communities like Headingley, Selkirk, Stonewall and Oakbank — with the current regular price where we have a recent report. Green pins are the cheapest tier right now, amber is mid-range, and red is the expensive tier; tap any pin for the exact cents-per-litre and a link to that station's detail page with its 90-day price history.
Two practical tips. First, prices cluster: a cheap pin usually has cheap neighbours, because stations match the competitor across the intersection — so zooming into any retail node tells you quickly whether it's a cheap corner of the city today. In Winnipeg the reliably green zones are the Regent Avenue strip in Transcona, the McPhillips corridor and the Pembina strip, anchored by the Costco and Red River Co-op sites. Second, don't drive across the city for a pin that's 3¢ lower; the math rarely works. The near-me view sorts by the price-distance trade-off for your actual location.
